Q-Racing Journal

World Champion JRC Callas First rejoins the national rankings.

JRC Callas First, last year's world champion, is closing 2015 strongly and this week moved to No. 6 in the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for 3-year-old-and-older horses. The gelded son of Winners Award notched his fourth straight win of the year by taking last week's $150,000 Zia Park Championship (G1) by one length in front-running fashion. JRC Callas First was the only newcomer to this week's Top 10, which once again is topped by Moonist.

As for the 2-year-old rankings, there were no changes to the Top 10 this week. Jess Good Candy and Tres Friends remain locked in an air-tight battle on ballots, with just three points separating the leading pair, 105-102.
