Louisiana Downs Opens January 10

Track will host live racing through March 25.


Louisiana Downs hosts a 46 day live meet.

Louisiana Downs will open its 46-day Quarter Horse meet with a seven-race program on Saturday, January 10. Post time for the first race is scheduled for 1 p.m. (CST).

Located in Bossier City, near Shreveport, Louisiana Downs will offer a Quarter Horse stakes schedule topped by lucrative state-bred and open races. The track’s stakes slate is topped by the $275,000-est. Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) and $85,000-est. Mardi Gras Derby (R), both for Louisiana-breds, on March 14, and the $200,000-est. Harrah’s Futurity (G3) on March 15. The track opened for training on January 2. 

Louisiana Downs
will present live Quarter Horse racing primarily on a Saturday-through-Tuesday schedule, with Wednesday racing added on March 18 and closing day, March 25.
