Utah SSA Successful

Beehive Stallion Service Auction has best-ever results.

The foals from Utah's stallion service auction are eligible for the Beehive Futurity.

The Utah Quarter Horse Racing Association conducted it annual Beehive Stallion Service Auction Saturday night in Sandy, Utah.

"We had a huge crowd and many phone bidders," Jeannie Hullinger UQHA Racing Secretary said. "Our total for the night was $54,785, which is our best ever and we are very excited for the future of our Beehive Futurity."

Offspring of all stallions who have a service sold in the auction will become eligible for the 2018 Beehive Futurity. The 2015 Beehive Futurity purse will be $25,000-added due to the outstanding support in the past several years.

"We owe it all to the stallion owners and farms that have donated many great stallions to us each year and we appreciate their support very much," Hullinger continued.

"The many breeders that bought the stallion services is a sign that our racing in the intermountain area is indeed growing and we appreciate their support in the effort to help make our area advance with great horses and races. In 2015 we will offer a very solid race circuit with purses that are the largest this area has seen," she said.

Additional breedings are still available on a first come-first serve basis until April. Anyone looking for breedings can contact Hullinger at 435-623-7015 or email uqhrajeannie@yahoo.com or visit uqharacing.com.
