Jess Good Candy Takes Over Top Poll Spot.

Pollsters shook up the rankings this week in the AQHA National Poll for older horses following the news that former No. 1 Zoomin Effortlessly has been disqualified from his signature victory in June's Remington Park Championship (G1). A medication positive prompted the disqualification, and subsequently Zoomin Effortlessly slid all the way to No. 10 in the poll.

Jess Good Candy was a unanimous new choice at No. 1, garnering all 110 possible points in the balloting. Unbeaten in seven career starts with earnings of more than $2 million, last year's champion 2-year-old has three wins on the 2016 campaign, including the Ruidoso Derby (G1) and is preparing for next week’s All American Derby (G1) trials. He's followed in the voting by Valiant Rogue, winner of the Rainbow Derby (G1).

There were no major changes to the Top 10 of the 2-year-old rankings this week. Rainbow Futurity (G1) winner A Revenant earned top billing for a third straight week over Heritage Place Futurity (G1) victor Duponte.
