Poll catches 'fire' as All American trials loom.

Heza Dasha Fire, last year's world champion, moved up two places to No. 6 in the latest AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com Poll as he readies for a return to action next month. Off since February, Heza Dasha Fire made news Tuesday with a workout at Los Alamitos that has him on course for the September 4 Go Man Go Handicap (G1).

The nation's Top 10 older performers remained the same this week as last week, led by unanimous No. 1 Jess Good Candy, who is entered in Sunday's trials for the All American Derby (G1) at Ruidoso Downs. Also competing in those same trials will be No. 2-ranked Valiant Rogue. The sophomore pair have finals wins this year in the Ruidoso Derby (G1) and Rainbow Derby (G1), respectively.

There were no changes this week to the rankings for the 2-year-olds, where A Revenant remains solidly atop the poll. The Rainbow Futurity (G1) champ has spent the past four weeks at No. 1 and continues a 106-97 lead in balloting this week over Heritage Place Futurity (G1) champ Duponte. Four of this week's Top 5-rated juveniles will be in action Friday or Saturday at Ruidoso Downs in trials for the all-important All American Futurity (G1).
