The Texas Racing Commission on Thursday voted 5-4 to repeal rules governing Historical Racing.

The Texas Racing Commission on Thursday voted to repeal rules that would have allowed the state's racetracks to add Historical Racing to their wagering menus.

The commission voted 5-4 to repeal the Historical Racing, capping nearly two years of controversy that included lawsuits, restraining orders, funding concerns, and feuds with lawmakers opposed to the wagering option.
