Portland Meadows Cancels Monday Card

The canceled 14-race program included three American Quarter Horse races.

Press release

Portland Meadows has canceled live racing for Monday.

Freezing rain and snow have forced Portland Meadows to cancel Monday's scheduled 14-race program.

Portland Meadows will remain open for simulcast wagering. Track management will monitor conditions regarding Tuesday's scheduled card.

"Our track does very well with rain and can be worked on if we have intermittent freezing rain, but a serious cold snap, snow accumulation and freezing rain is not something we're built for," said Portland Meadows spokesperson Karsten Hennze.

Portland Meadows' Monday card included three American Quarter Horse races.
