The 2015 season's final racing poll has been released.

The final 2015 rankings in the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com national polls saw Champion of Champions (G1) winner Heza Dasha Fire close the year a unanimous No. 1 among the older horses. Meanwhile, All American Futurity (G1) winner Jess Good Candy paced the 2-year-old rankings to close the campaign.

The release of the final 2015 poll was pushed back one week when the Championship at Sunland Park (G1) was rescheduled due to a snow storm. Zoomin Effortlessly, winner of the Championship at Sunland, advanced to No. 6 in the rankings. Runner-up JRC Callas First slid two spots in the final poll to No. 8 this week.

The 3-year-old Heza Dasha Fire was brilliant this year, as he was during his freshman season, running his career mark now to 11-for-12 lifetime. The Los Alamitos-based superstar boasts victories this year in the Champion of Champions, Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1) and Golden State Derby (G2). On December 27, he earned the prestigious AQHA Supreme Race Horse title and is a leading contender for champion honors.

Jess Good Candy earned a more contentious top ranking among the 2-year-olds, out-pointing Tres Friends 103-96 in the balloting. The Oklahoma-bred won all four starts on the season, culminating with his Labor Day score in the All American Futurity. The No. 2 finisher, Tres Friends, scored the Rainbow Futurity (G1) and Texas Classic Futurity (G1) in a 3-for-5 campaign.

The AQHA Racing Champions will be announced on January 20 at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City. The event will be webcast live at www.aqharacing.com.

The 2016 AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll will return in March, with the 2-year-olds to be added later in the spring.
