Atttend a medication town-hall meeting on Jan. 22.

Everyone is invited to an open town-hall-style meeting hosted by AQHA at Heritage Place on January 22.

The meeting will run from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., prior to the day’s sale session.

The agenda will include updates on medication efforts, including hair testing for the Bank of America AQHA Racing Challenge program, the Multiple Medication Violation System, national efforts for uniform medication policies and a Q&A session.

There will be a PowerPoint handout for those in attendance. Those unable to attend Heritage Place in person can watch the meeting, streamed live courtesy of Heritage Place, at www.heritageplace.com.

The week’s events will kick off on January 20, with a pre-party from 5 to 6 p.m., hosted by Heritage Place.

Then, the AQHA Racing Champions ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. The Champions Announcements will also be webcast for those who cannot attend the event. There are multiple ways to view the ceremony, and instructions can be found on www.aqharacing.com.

The Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale, which has 917 cataloged horses, will begin at 10 a.m. on January 21. AQHA On-Site Services will be on hand at the AQHA booth to provide immediate membership and magazine subscription renewal, Racing Challenge enrollment, transfers and records research.

Following Friday morning’s meeting, the second day of the sale starts at 10 a.m. OQHRA will host a reception immediately following the sale.

The sale wraps up on January 23, with the final session, also beginning at 10 a.m.
