The Pima County Board of Supervisors has voted to extend Rillito Park's racing contract.

The Pima County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted unanimously to extend for another two years the current operating agreement with Rillito Racing Inc.

The board's vote means that Rillito Park's 2016 winter meet will start on February 13.

Also, the non-profit Rillito Park Foundation will be rebuilding barns that were recently torn down to make way for three new soccer fields on the west end of the property. To support the project financially, visit the track's website.
