SunRay Park in Farmington, New Mexico, has released information on its 2016 meet, which opens April 22.

SunRay Park’s 36-day season will offer live racing on a Friday-through-Monday schedule uns through June 20. First post time will be 3 p.m. (MDT) on weekdays and 1:15 on weekends.

SunRay will offer Quarter Horse-only programs on Fridays and Thoroughbred-only cards on Mondays. Both breeds will race on the track’s weekend programs.

SunRay’s Quarter Horse stakes schedule kicks off with the 400-yard, $30,000-added Animas Stakes for 3-year-olds on opening day. The track’s Quarter Horse stakes schedule is topped by the 350-yard, $50,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) for state-bred 2-year-olds on May 15.
