The Wrangler Racing Aces will be on the move on Saturday, July 9, with fan education appearances set at racetracks in Indiana, Louisiana and Colorado.
Wrangler Racing Ace Denis Blake will be on hand for racing and family friendly festivities when Indiana Grand hosts their second all-Quarter Horse racing night, Saturday, July 9. In addition to the final of the Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby, the evening will include the final of the $40,000 Bradford Stakes and trials for the Heartland Futurity and the Blue River Derby. Blake will join Indiana Grand's racing analyst Rachel McLaughlin on the racing preview show, and greet fans trackside with handicapping tips on Quarter Horse racing. He will offer free $2 racing vouchers, courtesy of QHRAI, while supplies last. The evening will also include face painting, a bounce house, strolling entertainment and performances by the Circle City Cloggers.
Delta Downs will close out their 2016 Quarter Horse racing season with a stakes-filled card, highlighted by the richest race of the meet, the $690,295 Lee Berwick Futurity (RG1). Wrangler Racing Ace Martha Claussen will travel to Vinton, Louisiana, and will preview each of the races with track announcer Don Stevens. She will pen a free tip sheet and offer handicapping information, courtesy of AQHA. Fans who make a $10 wager on the Lee Berwick Futurity will receive a $5 voucher from the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association. In addition, LQHBA will conduct two $1,000 youth scholarship drawings and make a $5,000 donation to Special Olympics Louisiana. Delta Downs will also receive a commemorative 75th anniversary plaque from AQHA as part of the evening's presentations.
On Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, Jennifer Hancock will travel to Arapahoe Park in Denver, Colorado. Their weekend stakes include the $20,000 Merial Arapahoe Distaff Challenge on Saturday and the $117,780 Rocky Mountain Futurity on Sunday. Fans are invited to join her and track announcer Jonathan Horowitz on Sunday, July 10 for a free "Wagering Do's and Donuts" handicapping seminar at 11:15 a.m. Hancock will be available to meet and greet fans both afternoons with her tip sheet and handicapping materials.
