Michigan Tracks Betting on Bills to Help Industry
Only two tracks, including Hazel Park near Detroit, remain open in the state.

Michigan's shrinking horse racing industry is facing growing pressures to figure out ways to survive.
From a high of nine tracks in the state, only two survive -- Northville Downs and Hazel Park. Northville Downs features harness racing, while Hazel Park offers Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing.
Michigan horsemen are hopeful that legislation currently being proposed will provide much-needed help to the state's racing industry.
