Live Racing Enjoys Successful Return to Douglas, Arizona

Seventeen Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse races were run during the two-day meet.

Live racing returned to Douglas, Arizona, after a five-year absence.

Live racing returned to the Cochise County Fairgrounds with Douglas, Arizona, with a successful meet held May 21-22.

A total of 17 races were run during the two-day meet. Cochise County Fairgrounds manager Karen Strongin estimated that 4,500-5,000 people attended the races both days."

"I'm astounded," Strongin said. "The community really came through. We are really grateful."
