Zoomin Effortlessly, Duponte Atop Racing Poll.

Zoomin Effortlessly, Duponte Atop Racing Poll.

Polls remained firm this week in the 2-year-old and 3-year-old-and-older divisions of the AQHA national rankings. No major changes took place on either ballot, as Duponte and Zoomin Effortlessly remained atop the juvenile and elder divisions, respectively. Each ascended to their leading perches after June 4 scores on Remington Park's "Mega-Card" of stakes. Duponte stormed to victory in the Heritage Place Futurity (G1), while Zoomin Effortlessly turned away a deep cast in the Remington Park Championship (G1).

One notable change in the elder rankings this week was the move to No. 2 by Jess Good Candy, who leap-frogged the late Moonist in balloting. Pollsters will continue to rank Moonist, who was euthanized June 21 after a bout with colic, at their discretion based on his seasonal accomplishments and resume. Moonist had spent the first several months of the 2016 season ranked No. 1 until Zoomin Effortlessly's move to the top in early June.
