Remington Park opens its 50-date American Quarter Horse meet on March 11.

Remington Park will open its 50-day American Quarter Horse meet with a 12-race program on Friday, March 11. Post time for the first race is set for 6 p.m. (CST).

Remington's opening-night card features six trials for the Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Futurity (G1), as well as five Quarter Horse races, including a 300-yard, $31,000 open-condition allowance dash for fillies and mares that serves as a local prep for the 350-yard, $50,000 Decketta Stakes (G3) on April 7.

On March 12, the first Saturday of the meet, Remington has carded 15 Oklahoma Futurity (G3) trials. Post time for the first race on March 12 is set for 5 p.m. The 10 fastest qualifiers from the Oklahoma Futurity trials will meet in the 75th running of the stakes on March 26, worth $420,000.

A Wyatt Reed, a homebred racing for Kendrix Brothers of Altus, Oklahoma, and trained by Luz Chavira, is the lone supplemental entry in the Oklahoma Futurity trials. A Wyatt Reed was a training race winner on February 23 and will race in the 11th heat.

Remington Park's rich stakes schedule is topped by the 350-yard, $1-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1), which will be run on closing night, June 4. Six other major Quarter Horse stakes will be contested on closing night, including the 440-yard, $250,000 Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1), and the 400-yard, $100,000-added Heritage Place Derby (G2).

Remington's stakes schedule includes three regional Bank of America Racing Challenge stakes on May 22, topped by the 440-yard, $100,000-added Bank of America Oklahoma Challenge (G2).
