One Proud Eagle joins the Poll.

One Proud Eagle debuted at No. 4 this week in the latest AQHA National Poll for 2-year-olds on the strength of his Sunday score in the $428,400 Kindergarten Futurity (G3). The victory was his second in three starts while capturing the final for the Los Alamitos centerpiece to the spring juvenile schedule. Also moving into the poll this week was Heritage Place Futurity (G1) trial winner Sweet Annie GL at No. 10. The 2-year-olds were led for the second straight week in the rankings by Teller Baja, who garnered 102 of a possible 110 points in the balloting behind his three victories, including the final for the Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Futurity (RG3).

As for the older horses, there were no major changes to the poll this week as Moonist continues a season-long dominance at the top. The nation's No. 1-ranked runner returns to action Friday at Los Alamitos in an allowance race. It marks his first start since winning the Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) more than three months ago. It's quite a week for owner Ron Hartley and trainer John Cooper, as they're also the tandem behind the Kindergarten Futurity winner One Proud Eagle.
