AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com polls showcase rising stars.
November 1, 2016
This week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Polls were firm at the top, but both divisions saw rising players move to No. 3 this week with strong performances at Los Alamitos.
AJs High moved up a trio of slots this week from No. 6 to No. 3 after his win in Saturday's Bank of America Challenge Championship (G1) final.
Meanwhile, juvenile Lotta Blues Man rocketed to the third spot in the 2-year-old poll behind Sunday's victory in the Golden State Million Futurity (G1).
AJs High has a splendid 7-5-2-0 record this year, with consistency a hallmark. He has won stakes finals at Remington Park, Canterbury Park and Los Alamitos, with a pair of stakes placings at Prairie Meadows as a true road warrior.
Lotta Blues Man has won four of five starts on the year and suffered his only loss when he finished third in the Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) final.
The top 2-year-olds this week remain Imperial Eagle and A Revenant, the former nearly unanimous with 109 of 110 possible points behind a victory in the All American Futurity (G1). As for the older horses, Heza Dash Fire holds a 100-90 edge over EC Jet One atop that poll.
