An tote system malfunction forced Evangeline Downs to cancel its scheduled nine-race program on Friday.

Racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday, starting at 5:35 p.m. (CST). Saturday's Evangeline card will be headed by the 400-yard $1-Million LQHBA Breeders' Futurity (RG1) -- Louisiana's richest race for any breed -- and the 400-yard, $264,398 LQHBA Breeders' Derby (R). Also, the LQHBA will be rewarding Louisiana students with $11,000 in scholarships. Students must register in person between 5-7 p.m., with drawings to take place after the fifth race.

She will also host pre-race handicapping selections and conduct post-race interviews after all three stakes races, including the $40,000 LQHBA Juvenile Invitational Stakes.
