Los Alamitos to Host Challenge Handicapping Contest
A cash prize and two seats to the DRF/NTRA National Championship will be on the line on October 29.

The Los Alamitos Quarter Horse Racing Association will offer a cash prize and two seats to the 2017 Daily Racing Form/National Thoroughbred Racing Association National Championship in Las Vegas with a live-money night racing contest on October 29, the night of the Bank of America Challenge Championships.
The cost to enter the tournament is $300; from that amount, $50 will be placed in the contest prize pool with the remaining $250 going towards a live-money wagering card. Tournament races will include the entire Los Alamitos night racing card with permitted wagers including win, place, show and exactas. Every entry must bet at least $50 on five races, but there is no limit on the amount of races a contestant can play.
The player with the highest bankroll at the end of the day will be declared the winner and the player with the second-highest bankroll the runner-up, The winner will receive 40% of the prize pool. The remaining payoffs: 25% (second) 20% (third), 10% (fourth) and 5% (fifth). The top two finishers will also receive entry – including airfare and hotel accommodations – into next year's DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas.
The Bank of America Challenge Championships features an all stakes card of Quarter Horse racing featuring $1.1 million in purses. The racing card will feature five graded stakes races.
