Longtime track announcer Daryl Wells Jr. has died.
Daryl Wells Jr., a longtime track announcer whose duties included commentating on Quarter Horse races at Ajax Downs, has died. He was 56.
Wells was also the racecaller at Fort Erie Racetrack for more than 30 years, before he stepped down from that post in 2010.
