Lone Star Park opens its 26-night fall Quarter Horse meet on Friday.

Lone Star Park will open its 19th annual Fall Meeting of Champions on Friday. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. (CDT), followed by first post time at 6:35.

Live racing will be conducted on a Thursday-through-Saturday schedule through closing night, November 12. The track's 19-race stakes schedule will be worth approximately $2.5 million and will once again be topped by the 400-yard, $1-million Texas Classic Futurity (G1) -- the state's richest race for any breed -- on closing night

Friday's opening-night program will be headlined by the 350-yard, $20,000 Nevill Stakes (R) for Texas-breds.
