Another Pick-4 Record Falls at Los Alamitos

A record $197,178 was wagered in the early Pick-4 on Sunday at Los Alamitos.

A record $197,178 was wagered in Los Alamitos' early Pick-4 pool on Sunday, marking the second consecutive week that a Pick-4 record has been set at the Orange County, California, track.

On February 19, a record $145,487 was handled on Los Alamitos' late Pick-4.

Sunday's early Pick-4 pool bested the previous mark of $192,292, which was set on April 10, 2016. The early Pick-4 has now surpassed the $190,000 mark three different times, including twice this year. The five highest early Pick-4 pools at Los Alamitos have all been posted on Sundays.   

The combined handled for the two Pick-4 pools on Sunday was $299,526, the fifth-highest total for a single night at Los Alamitos. The combined record total for two Pick-4 pools a single night was set earlier this year when $329,787 was bet on January 8.

Los Alamitos offers two Pick-4 wagers every night. The early Pick-4 always consists of races 1-4. The late Pick-4 consists of the last four races on the card.
