More Winter Weather Forces Cancellation at Portland Meadows

The track has scrapped Monday's scheduled nine-race card.

Press release

More severe winter weather has forced Portland Meadows to cancel its scheduled program on Monday.

A major winter weather system has brought freezing rain, snow, and icy conditions to the Portland, Oregon, metro area, forcing Portland Meadows Racetrack to cancel its scheduled nine-race program on Monday.

The cancelled card included three Quarter Horse races. Weather permitting, live racing will continue at Portland Meadows on January 10, 15, and 17. Track officials will meet with horsemen's groups to determine whether racing will be conducted on Tuesday. No Quarter Horse races are scheduled for Tuesday.
