KC Carden Fundraiser
Horseman KC Carden has fundraisers to help raise money.
January 15, 2017
Horseman KC Carden was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with an aggressive metastic cancer.
During his training career, he trained the earners of more than $4.6 million and is one of the Bank of America Racing Challenge program’s all-time leading trainers. He trained the likes of champion Kool Kue Baby and Grade 1 winners Toast To Dash and A Touch Of Victory. Currently he is a stallion manager.
KC is undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and while they do have health insurance, there are many expenses not covered. Several accounts have been set up to help him and his family with expenses.
“First a big THANK YOU to all of you for being there for us,” his wife Candice wrote on Facebook. “Our family has been encouraged, uplifted, and humbled by the tremendous outpouring of support that we have felt over the past few weeks.”
An expense account has been set up at the Cowboy State Bank in Sheridan, Wyoming. Donations can be made to the “KC Carden Medical Expense Account” by calling the bank at 307-673-4456 or mailing to Cowboy State Bank, 232 Grinnell Plaza, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801.
A GoFundMe page is also available: https://www.gofundme.com/kc-cardens-medical-fund
He would also appreciate letters to help lift his spirits. Mail cards or letters to: KC Carden, 4 McCormick Rd, Sheridan WY 82801.
