Former Racehorse Trainer Sentenced
Robert Dimitt was sentence to 25 years for animal abuse.

Former racehorse trainer Robert Dimitt on Thursday was sentenced to five years for each of five charges of animal abuse.
The Sequoyah County Times has reported that District Judge Jeff Payton sentenced Dimitt to five years on each count but suspended counts two and three of the first charge to run consecutively but concurrent to the first charge. The two remaining counts will run concurrently to the other charges.
Assistant District Attorney Stacey Slaughter said that Dimitt will serve five years in DOC and be on DOC parole for 10 more years.
