AQHA Racing Poll

Bodacious Eagle retakes top poll spot.

Bodacious Eagle retakes top poll spot.

Even though Bodacious Eagle nor Jessies First Down ran during the past week, the deadlock between the two at the top of the AQHA Racing National Poll for older horses was broken, thanks to a victory by BH Lisas Boy in the Kaweah Bar Handicap (G3) at Los Alamitos.

That win helped BH Lisas Boy attract a couple more points in the voting. As a result, Bodacious Eagle emerged with a slim 94-92 lead in points over Jessies First Down with BH Lisas Boy in third with 77 points. Bodacious Eagle is undefeated this year, with two graded stakes wins at Remington Park, while reigning world champion Jessies First Down is also undefeated in two starts, with a graded victory at Sam Houston Race Park.

The 2-year-old poll remained mostly unchanged as La Vencedora, winner of the Remington Park Futurity (RG2), held the top spot. Oklahoma Futurity (G3) winner Ima China Rush and Sam Houston Futurity (G2) winner This Is An Eagle are tied in second, just four points behind the leader.
