Leaders have a tight finish in 2-year-old poll.

The latest AQHA Racing National Poll for 2-year-olds welcomed a new face, as Fire And Sass, winner of Sunday’s Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity (G3) at Los Alamitos, debuted in the fourth spot behind a trio of runners in a near-three-way tie. La Vencedora, the leader last week and winner of the Remington Park Futurity (RG2), held the top spot and was joined by Sam Houston Futurity (G2) winner This Is An Eagle, with 73 voting points apiece. Just one point back is Ima China Rush, winner of the Oklahoma Futurity (G3).

The rankings for older horses did not have any changes near the top, with Bodacious Eagle maintaining a slim lead over world champion Jessies First Down. Recent stakes winners Politically Corrupt, who took the Sam Houston Classic Handicap (G2) in his seasonal debut, and Sky Bo Dash, who captured the Bank of America Remington Championship Challenge (G2), made their first appearances on the poll in the 8 and 9 spots, respectively.
