AQHA Racing Polls

This Is An Eagle inches up in 2-year-old poll.

This Is An Eagle inches up in 2-year-old poll.

There was plenty of stakes action across the country this past weekend, but without any major unrestricted graded stakes, there were few changes to the AQHA Racing National Polls. That said, the rankings for both 2-year-olds and older horses remaining tight at the top.

In a slight change from the previous week, This Is An Eagle, recently honored as horse of the meet at Sam Houston Race Park, took sole possession of the top spot for the first time this year. The winner of the Sam Houston Futurity (G2) in April is ranked just ahead of La Vencedora and Ima China Rush, both graded stakes winners at Remington Park. La Vencedora and This Is An Eagle were tied at the top of last week’s poll.

The top-10 rankings for older horses did not change at all, with Bodacious Eagle, a two-time graded stakes winner at Remington, holding the slimmest of leads over reigning world champion Jessies First Down.
