Jockey Mario Chavez Dies
The Oklahoma-based rider died from injuries sustained in an accident at Will Rogers Downs.

Jockey Mario Chavez has died from injuries sustained in a racing accident at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Oklahoma, on Saturday. He was 42.
Ray Enlow, a horseman and longtime employer of Chavez, told Paulick Report that Chavez suffered severe brain trauma resulting in irreversible brain damage and a broken neck. Family members made the decision to take Chavez off of a life support at 2 p.m. (CDT) on Sunday.
