A Quarter Horse track has been proposed for Corbin, Kentucky.

Plans are moving forward on a proposed Quarter Horse racing facility in the southern Kentucky city of Corbin.

In its October 17 edition, the Corbin Times-Tribune reported that the Corbin City Planning and Zoning Commission agreed on Tuesday to make a recommendation to the Corbin City Commission to rezone property where the proposed track would be located. Keeneland and Churchill Downs announced in September their partnership to build two proposed facilities, one of those being in Corbin, that will feature horse racing and historical racing machines.

Corbin is located off of Interstate 75, about 60 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee.
