AQHA Racing Poll

Time For Jess debuts in AQHA Racing Poll.

Time For Jess debuts in AQHA Racing Poll.

The previously unranked Time For Jess jumped into the AQHA Racing National Poll for 3-year-olds and up after scoring a victory in Sunday’s $125,000 Mildred N. Vessels Memorial Handicap (G1) at Los Alamitos. The Idaho-bred mare by Apollitical Jess prevailed in a four-horse finish to earn a berth in the $750,000 Champion of Champions (G1) this December at Los Alamitos and also a tie for 10th in the latest poll.

Reigning world champion Jessies First Down was also in action over the weekend and posted an impressive win in the $250,000 Albuquerque Fall Quarter Horse Championship at Albuquerque Downs. The victory did little to sway voters, as Hold Air Hostage, winner of the All American Derby (G1) in his last start, maintained his spot at the top. However, the win by Jessies First Down was important in that it also earned him a berth in the Champion of Champions.

There was virtually no change in the 2-year-old poll as All American Futurity (G1) heroine Fly Baby Fly kept her position at No. 1.
