Remington Park Postpones First Day of Training Races

Winter weather is forecast for Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Edited press release

The first training races of the 2018 Remington Park spring meet have been postponed to Wednesday.

Winter weather forecast for the Oklahoma City area, including sub-freezing temperatures, freezing rain, and snow, has forced Remington Park to postpone its scheduled training races for Tuesday.

Due to the postponement, Remington Park will hold its first days of training races this Wednesday and Thursday. Six races will be contested each day, beginning at 11 a.m. (CST).

Remington Park's spring American Quarter Horse meet opens March 9. The track's training races allow young horses to gain experience in preparation for their career debuts.
