The track's 50-date spring meet opens March 9.

Edited press release

Remington Park has announced another purse increase.

Remington Park on Friday announced that it will again be increasing purses for its 50-date American Quarter Horse spring meet, which opens March 9.

Overnight purses for Quarter Horses will be boosted by $1,500 per race.  Remington Park management announced a purse increase in January. With the two purse increases, Quarter Horse purses for overnight races will be $3,000 higher than the end of the 2017 season.

“Remington Park’s casino business continues to Benefit horsemen since moving to a 24-hour a day model in July 2017,” said Matt Vance, vice president of operations at Remington Park. “The casino purse revenues, combined with positive import simulcast numbers this year, have allowed another enrichment to America’s best overnight racing season for Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas.”

Open Quarter Horse maiden races will now be worth $19,100, while open allowance races for Quarter Horses, three and older, will be worth $21,000.
