RACE RECORD: Another Shot was a consistent winner as a 2-year-old, taking three of five starts, and qualified to Thecartelofmiracle’s $851,776 Texas Classic Futurity (G1).

With three starts this year, he comes into the All American Derby off a second-place finish behind Jess Move You in their trial. Their race featured a fast track and a tail wind.

BREEDER: John Simmons’ Simmons Racing is based in Burnet, Texas, and since 2013 he has bred the earners of more than $341,000 with a 35 percent win-place-show record. In 2013, he purchased sire Tempting Dash, who is now syndicated. He also bred Grade 1 finalist Tempting Special.

OWNER: Thomas E. Lipar’s Paragon Farms LLC is based in Conroe, Texas, and has a classy stable of horses. The horses have earnings of more than $2.2 million and include 2016 Texas Classic Futurity (G1) winner High Plains Perry and 2017 Ruidoso Derby (G1) winner Tough To Bee.

PEDIGREE: Sire Tempting Dash is an 11-year-old son of First Down Dash who was an undefeated champion during his racing career.

As a sire, from six crops to race, he has gotten the earners of more than $6.9 million, and average earnings of $22,173 per starter. His runners are led by champion Kiss My Hocks ($1,199,385). He is also the dam sire of All American Futurity qualifier Im Jess Special V.

Tempting Dash stands at Granada Farms at Wheelock, Texas.

Dam Fontanas Stoli is a half sister to Grade 1 winner Okey Dokey Fantasy ($576,521), and from the immediate female family of Fast Debonair ($455,658), Endless Ocean ($265,322), etc. Another Shot is her first starter.
