RACE RECORD: Bellissima Chocolata has won or placed in six of 10 career starts. Her only stakes appearance to date was a sixth-place finish in the Oklahoma Derby (G3) earlier this year. She won her All American trial by a half-length.

BREEDER: Julianna Hawn Holt of Blanco, Texas, has one of the finest collections of racing American Quarter Horse broodmares in the world. A breeder for more than 40 years, she owned American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame member Corona Chick until the mare died in 2013. Hawn Holt also owns or owned the likes of major runners and producers such as RJK Runaway, Apollitical Time, Thewayouwantmetoo, Higher Fire, Stolis Fortune, Eddie Jym, Heartswideopen, Stylish Jess BR, Kates Dynasty and Coronas First Diva. She has bred the earners of more than $6 million, including the likes of runner and major sire Valiant Hero and champion A Revenant.

OWNER: A $300,000 purchase at the 2015 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, Bellissima Chocolata is owned by a partnership of Jose Espinoza, La Feliz Montana Ranch and Valeriano Racing Stable.

TRAINER: Pedro Lopez has trained two winners from 13 starts, with earnings of $7,292.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Jose Montoya has ridden horses that have earned more than $2.7 million, including guiding future world champion Cold Cash 123 to win the 2010 Southwest Juvenile Championship (G1).

PEDIGREE: Sire Valiant Hero made $668,633 in his 14-race career, and as a sire, has from seven crops sired the earners of more than $17.5 million, including 2013 All American Derby (G1) winner and champion Feature Hero. He also sired All American Futurity qualifier Believe Me Irene.

Dam Heartswideopen was a four-time champion who retired with earnings of $1,885,283. She won four Grade 1 races, including the 2007 All American Futurity, and in her final career start lost the All American Derby by a head to Noconi. She has produced two winners from three starters.
