RACE RECORD: Last year’s All American Futurity (G1) winner Fly Baby Fly will get a chance to master the All American double, as she entered the final off a medication disqualification.

Last year, Fly Baby Fly was fourth in the Rainbow Futurity (G1) and then won the All American Futurity. This year, she contested the Corona Cartel Derby (R), a consolation for the Rainbow Derby.

In her All American Derby trial, she was second by a length behind Hotstepper, and posted the 11th fastest time. A later ruling moved her into the final.

BREEDER: From her breeding operation in Blanco, Texas, Julianna Hawn Holt cultivates a select group of some of the best broodmares in the business. She has bred the earners  of more than $7.7 million, including top names such as Valiant Hero ($668,633), A Revenant ($604,800), Highest Fire ($325,637), Captain Courage ($213,251) and many more.

Last year, she was recognized with a special recognition award for her achievements in breeding.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Rodrigo Vallejo has in the past quarter century ridden the earners of more than $23.8 million, putting him in the top 25 of all-time leading jockeys by money earned. He is the reigning champion jockey.

PEDIGREE: The 13-year-old One Famous Eagle first built a championship race career, winning or placing in nine of 11 starts and earning $1,387,453. His victories include Grade 1 wins in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity, Golden State Derby and Los Alamitos Super Derby, and cumulated in a title of champion 3-year-old colt in 2008.

Retired to stud, he set a record as a freshman sire, including the champion and All American Futurity winner One Dashing Eagle, and notched his second All American Futurity winner with Fly Baby Fly. He has sired the earners of more than $25.1 million from only seven crops to race.

Owned by a syndicate, One Famous Eagle stands at Four Sixes Ranch at Guthrie, Texas.

Dam Higher Fire, who died this spring, was herself a racing champion with career earnings of $1,314,742.
