RACE RECORD: De La Eagle has 10 career starts, all in New Mexico, including three starts this year. Last year, he contested A Revenant’s Rainbow Futurity (G1). De La Eagle won his All American trial, the ninth of the day, by a neck over fellow qualifiers The Marfa Lights and One Sweet Racy.

BREEDER: Legendary breeder Burnett Ranches LLC has bred the earners of more than $4.4 million, including Grade 1 runners like Wicked Courage, Big Biz Perry and Secret Courage.

OWNER: Jose and David Mora’s Cream of the Crop Inc. also raced stakes horse Willie Be Fired, who was fourth in last year’s West Texas Futurity (G2).

TRAINER: Juan Gonzalez has twice won the All American Futurity, but has yet to win the Derby. He took the Futurity first with By By JJ (2003) and then 10 years later with Handsome Jack Flash. His trainees have brought in more than $16.6 million. He also trained qualifier Magestic Eagle.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Tanner Thedford has since 2010 ridden the earners of more than $4.2 million. They include 188 winners from 1,762 starters, led by last year’s Rainbow Derby (G1) winner Valiant Rogue and 2013 Ruidoso Futurity (G1) winner Cartel Quick. He also rode qualifier Magestic Eagle.

PEDIGREE: Sire One Famous Eagle stands at Burnett Ranches LLC’s Four Sixes Ranch at Guthrie, Texas, and is the sire of not only two All American Futurity qualifiers but three Derby qualifiers – he is also the sire of The Marfa Lights and Magestic Eagle. One Famous Eagle, a champion runner during his racing career, has from six crops to race sired the earners of more than $20.1 million and is the No. 20 all-time leading sire by money earned.

Dam La Reina De La Noche is an unraced full sister to champion sire Brookstone Bay, major runners Remarkably Ritzy and Valors Gold, and producer Le Mishka. She is the dam of seven winners from 11 starters that have earned $203,539, including stakes winner Zoomin Daphne.
