RACE RECORD: Elicity has placed in nine of 11 career starts, and hasn’t been worse than second in four starts this year. The filly was eighth in last year’s $500,000 All American Juvenile, and then was second in the Bobby Angel Handicap. Earlier this summer, she won the $100,000 Corona Cartel Derby, the consolation for the Rainbow Derby.

BREEDER: Robert Williams raced dam Flame N Flash to a champion title in 2012. He bred the earners of more than $657,000, including Restricted Grade 1 winner Noble Risky Fortune.

TRAINER: Juan Aleman knows this equine family. He has trained generations of this family on both sides of Elicity’s family tree, including sire Apollitical Jess to world champion honors and dam Flame N Flash to champion honors. He also trained Apollitical Blood to win the 2015 All American Derby. Aleman has trained the earners of more than $13.7 million.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Veteran Esgar Ramirez knows about winning – he has ridden horses that have earned more than $35.5 million since 2002. Last year, he had an All American double, winning the Derby with EC Jet One and the Futurity with Imperial Eagle. He also won the 2006 All American Derby with Arealstraitheart and the 2010 All American Futurity with Mr Piloto.

PEDIGREE: Apollitical Jess was his sport’s world champion in 2010, with two Grade 1 wins and earnings of $1,399,831 before he retired. The son of Mr Jess Perry and champion Apollitical Time, from four crops to race, Apollitical Jess has sired the earners of more than $13.3 million. He is the sire of 2015 All American Derby winner Apollitical Blood and qualifier Hold Air Hostage.

Dam Flame N Flash earned $439,151 in her career and was the 2012 champion 3-year-old filly. She has produced two starters, and one winner to date. A daughter of Oh La Proud, this makes her a half-sister to champions Hawkish and Hawkinson.
