RACE RECORD: One of three 2017 All American Futurity (G1) finalists to return for the 2018 All American Derby (G1), Hes Limitless enters the All American off a second-place effort in his trial, finishing a length behind fastest qualifier Dashnunder Afullmoon. Fellow qualifier Peighnt Your Fate was third in the trial, and also qualified.

Hes Limitless as a 2-year-old was second in the Rainbow Juvenile, then finished fourth in the All American Futurity. This year, he has been first or second in five of six starts, including being second in Political Attraction’s Rainbow Derby (G1).

BREEDER: The partnership that raced Hes Limitless’ champion dam bred this Grade 1-placed runner. They offered the horse as an embryo at the 2015 Heritage Place Winter Sale, repurchasing on a bid of $90,000, then again offered him as a yearling at the 2016 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, repurchasing at $105,000.

OWNER: Breeding partner Jack Smith of Comber, Ontario, acquired the horse in entirety in September 2016. 

TRAINER: Since 1985, John Stinebaugh has trained the earners of more than $14.4 million, including All American Derby winners Double Down Special (2010) and The Casanova (1998)

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Augustin Silva since 2009 has ridden the earners of more than $10.8 million and more than 590 wins. He rode champion El Duero to win the 2012 West Texas Futurity (G1), Jess Move You to win the Ruidoso Derby (G1) and Jess Fire Chick to win the Zia Futurity (RG1) earlier this year.

PEDIGREE: Sire Corona Cartel is the sport’s leading living sire, with progeny earnings of more than $59.1 million, including 2005 All American Futurity winner Teller Cartel. A living legend, Corona Cartel stands at the Lazy E Ranch at Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Dam PJ Chick In Black was a champion runner for her owner and trainer entities, earning $652,081 in her career. She won the 2012 Ruidoso Futurity (G1) and was sixth in One Dashing Eagle’s All American Futurity (G1). Hes Limitless is from her first foal crop of four foals; she also produced stakes-placed runner AJ Chick In 15 (by Apollitical Jess, $36,097). She has one yearling by Apollitical Jess named Political Mayhem.
