RACE RECORD: With a limited race record, Wokatee On Fire has never been worse than second in his three starts. Prior to coming to Ruidoso, he was second behind Sunnysyde in the $1,024,840 Heritage Place Futurity (G1).

On the first day of All American trials, he won the fifth trial by a nose over Lynnder 16.

BREEDER: The partnership of Montemayor and Martinez has since 2013 bred the earners of more than $311,000.

OWNER: Francisco Javier Garza and James Hays partner in the Wokatee On Fire LLC, which is based in Laredo, Texas.

Garza is a 10-year breeder and has campaigned Sweet Annie GL ($274,038) and Tee Chic ($380,986).

TRAINER: Clint Crawford in 2015 saddled champion Jess Good Candy to win the All American Futurity (G1).

Horses in his name have won more than $14.8 million. They also include Grade 1 winner Send Me A Candy Tree and graded stakes winners Hiclass Vodka, This Candys Awesome, Haulin Candy Salt, Candy Cartels Cat, Candy Cartel, Fredaville and Rocketair.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: James Flores has ridden the earners of more than $8.1 million and visited the winner’s circle 430 times.

Those visits include Grade 1 wins with Gold Digging Ashley, Sudden Separation and VF Red Surprise. He has also ridden graded stakes winners Time For Wine, La Vencedora, Coronas First Diva and Dicecapades.

PEDIGREE: One of only 16 starters racing for Highest Fire, Wokatee On Fire is his sire’s first stakes-placed runner. The 7-year-old stallion’s starters have average earnings of $20,003.

Highest Fire is a son of leading living sire and sire of sire’s Corona Cartel, and is out of the late champion and millionaire Higher Fire. Highest Fire is a half brother to last year’s All American Futurity winner Fly Baby Fly (by One Famous Eagle, $1,590,600).

Dam Wokatee is a daughter of Shazoom who ran second in Silver Gol’s TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1) and earned $77,500 in her career.

She has produced four winners from four starters that have combined earnings of more than $317,000. They include stakes-placed runner Heza Fast Wokatee (by Heza Fast Dash, $94,431).
