Sic Em Sixes, a gelded son of Sixes Royal, is the fastest qualifier to the January 17, $190,095 Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) for New Mexico-bred foals of 2013 at Sunland Park.

Ridden by Adrian Ramos in the second of four 400-yard trials on Monday, Sic Em Sixes won by 3 1/2 lengths in :19.925 on a sloppy track. Juan M. Gonzalez prepped the gelding for owners J. Patricia Gonzalez, Peter B. Gallegos, and Sam Tanner.

Sic Em Sixes was bred by Sam and Karen Tanner. The gelding has won four of nine outs and has earned $40,035, and his record includes a second-place finish in the July 25, 400-yard By By JJ Stakes (R) at Ruidoso Downs.
