Les Bois Cancels Opening-Day Program

Inclement weather forces cancellation of eight-race card.

Edited press release

Adverse weather conditions in the Boise, Idaho, area forced Les Bois Park to cancel its scheduled eight-race opening-day card on Saturday.

“We felt it was best to cancel the races today, as the safety of the jockeys and horses is our primary concern,” said track general manager Duayne Didericksen.

Les Bois’ opening-day program included three Quarter Horse races, topped by the 350-yard, $8,000 Premier Stakes. It is not yet known if the canceled races will be rescheduled.

Les Bois Park’s next scheduled day of live racing is Wednesday, May 20, the meet’s first “Ladies Night.” All ladies will receive free grandstand admission for Wednesday’s program, which features four 300-yard trials for the Knight Transportation Futurity. Post time for the first race is 5 p.m. (MDT).
