Famous Little Reba, a bay daughter of champion One Famous Eagle racing for Johnny Trotter of Hereford, Texas, scored her first career stakes victory in Saturday’s Grade 1, $448,515 Dash For Cash Futurity at Lone Star Park.

Prepped by Gilbert Aguirre III and ridden by Ricky Ramirez, Famous Little Reba went 400 yards in :19.705 while defeating 2-1 favorite Ferarri GT by a nose. The $179,410 winner’s share of the purse boosted Famous Little Reba’s earnings to $187,230.

The complexion of the race changed when fastest qualifier Nucky, an undefeated Grade 2-winning son of freshman sire Dominyun and the morning-line favorite, was scratched.

The ninth-fastest qualifier, Famous Little Reba was coming off of a 1 1/4-length victory in the sixth of 14 trials on September 26. All told, the filly has won three of six outs while racing in New Mexico and Texas.

She Looks Racy finished third, a nose behind the winner in a blanket finish. Volcom Flame, JS Abel Dasher, Dash Dont Cheat, Django B, Teves, and Sissy Cartel completed the order of finish.
