AJs High used a steady late kick to win the $70,000 Mr Jet Moore Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park on Thursday.

Prepped by Charley Hunt for owner Michael C. Teel of Columbia, Missouri, AJs High covered 350 yards in :17.387 under jockey Stormy Smith, and the 4-year-old Apollitical Jess gelding's winning margin was a half of a length in front of 19-10 favorite Sam Crow. AJs High was coming off of a victory in the March 13, 350-yard Eastex Stakes (G2).

AJs High has enjoyed much success during his career, as the gelding has won 10 of 15 starts -- including seven stakes -- and he has earned $403,369. However, he had some behavior issues when he was younger that might have kept him from having an even better record.

Hunt thinks those problems are now behind AJs High.

"He's 2-for-2 this year, and he was really good tonight," said the trainer.

AJs High's win was his fourth in seven outs at Remington Park. Three of the gelding's stakes scores have come at the Oklahoma City track.

Bringin The Gray ran third and was followed by Specials Jess, Win Rabbits Fly, BP Cartels Policy, Cruise By Diva, and Style On Speed Dial.
