Major Freight Leads Day 2 of Remington Park Futurity Trials
The complete field is set for the April 23, $958,000 final.

Major Freight, a homebred Freighttrain B colt racing for Dr. Edward Leslie of Frankfort, Kentucky, topped the second night of Remington Park Futurity (RG2) trials on Saturday.
Ridden by James Flores for trainer Charles "Duke" Shults, Major Freight won the fifth of 12 330-yard trials by a neck in :17.196. The colt's dam, the winning Rolls Of Romance mare Romancin Ashley, was a finalist in two graded stakes from 2000-01, including the 2000 Sam Houston Futurity (G1).
Juan A. Medina's Teller Baja is the overall fastest qualifier. On Friday, the homebred daughter of Teller Cartel won the first of 12 heats by 1 1/4 lengths in :16.597.
