Boxwineizfine Leads West Texas Derby Qualifiers

The California-bred filly extended her win streak to three Sunday at Sunland Park.

Boxwineizfine, a daughter of champion Separatist racing for Luis Hernandez, is the fastest qualifier to the May 1, $160,875 West Texas Derby (G3) at Sunland Park.

Ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr. in the fifth of six 400-yard trials on Sunday, Boxwineizfine covered the distance in :19.268 while scoring her third win in six starts and bumping her earnings to $37,886. Ramon R. Rivera prepped the filly for owner Luis Hernandez.

Boxwineizfine was bred in California by Vessels Stallion Farm LLC.
