Trainer Randy Smith won seven of the nine races on Indiana Grand's all-Quarter Horse program on Saturday.

Smith's feat set a new track record, as no trainer of any breed had won that many races in one card at Indiana Grand.

Indiana Grand's program consisted of trials for three Quarter Horse stakes to be run on August 27. Smith qualified six 2-year-olds to the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Futurity, three 3-year-olds -- including fastest qualifier Coco Beach -- to the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Derby, and two aged sprinters to the Bob Woodward Memorial Classic Stakes.

Through Saturday, Smith was Indiana Grand's leading Quarter Horse trainer with 31 from 175 starters and purse earnings of $574,921.
