Rpainted Pistol Fires in John Deere Ajax Juvenile Challenge

The Oklahoma-bred gelding gets it done Sunday at Ajax Downs.

Rpainted Pistol earned his first stakes win in Sunday's John Deere Ajax Downs Juvenile Challenge.

Making his first start north of the border, Milena Kwiecien's Rpainted Pistol earned his first stakes victory in Sunday's $19,211 John Deere Ajax Downs Juvenile Challenge at Ajax Downs.

Rpainted Pistol went 350 yards in :18.620 while defeating Definitely Carter by one length. Ramiro Castillo rode the brown son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon for trainer Jason Pascoe.

Rpainted Pistol was bred in Oklahoma by Bob and Deanna Williams. The gelding is out of Rdustys Chick, a homebred daughter of Chicks Beduino who won the 2001 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park and was a finalist in Ausual Suspect's All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Rpainted Pistol's half sister, Rspecial Chick, won the '08 Iowa Double Gold Derby (RG3) at Prairie Meadows. The gelding has won two of three races and has pocketed $21,244.

Denali Teller Off ran third, 1 1/4 lengths behind Rpainted Pistol. One Fast Effort, First Down Money Pop, Hickerson, and Lummis First completed the order of finish.
