Barue outran his 10-1 odds to win Saturday's Easy Jet Stakes at Remington Park.

Barue, a Pyc Paint Your Wagon colt campaigned by Albert and Sandra Whitmire of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, earned his first stakes victory in Saturday's 350-yard, $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes (RG3) for state-bred juveniles at Remington Park.

Prepped by Jerry Ingles and sent to post at odds of 10-1, Barue defeated High Speed Kitty by a nose in :17.459 under jockey James Flores. The colt banked $30,000 to push his earnings to $52,194 from six races.

Barue was bred by Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith. His dam, First Prize Leesa, is a 9-year-old daughter of Mr Jess Perry who won the 2009 Remington Park Futurity (G1) and ran second in Streakin Down's 2010 Texas Classic Derby (G1) at Lone Star Park.

Barue has won two races, including a Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity (RG2) trial on April 9.

Freal, the 6-5 favorite, finished third and was followed by Jc Wild Rose, Kates Carter, One Corona Episode, Peves Freddy B, and CC Passion.
