This Candys Awesome concluded her racing career on a sweet note, as the homebred 5-year-old daughter of Pyc Paint Your Wagon scored a neck victory in Saturday's $104,400 Junos Request Stakes (G2) for distaffers at Remington Park.

Ridden by Ivan Carnero and aided by a 12-mph tail wind, This Candys Awesome covered 400 yards in :19.496 for her 11th win in 21 outs and sixth win in 12 starts at Remington. Clint Crawford prepped the mare for owner PV Quarter Horse Farm LLC of Ratliff City, Oklahoma.

This Candys Awesome was making her first career start in the Junos Request, which honors the sport's 1992 champion aged mare. All told, the mare has won five stakes, and the $63,300 winner's share of the purse from her final start pushed her earnings to $434,481.

Sudden Separation, the 4-5 favorite, finished second and was followed by Bye Bye Birdy, Mavara Vegas, Political Debut, Aj Hardwood, Marys Coronitas, Rock Princess, and Adashinrose.
