The By By JJ Limited Partnership's Running Dragon kept her perfect record intact with her victory in Saturday's $364,256 Mountain Top Futurity (RG3) for New Mexico-bred juveniles at Ruidoso Downs.

Running Dragon covered 350 yards in :17.448 and earned a 93 speed index with a 10-mph tail wind, and her margin of victory was a neck from Percyjones. Jose Enrique Ortiz rode the homebred filly for trainer Juan M. Gonzalez.

The fastest qualifier, Running Dragon was coming off of a victory in the last of 10 trials on June 3. Her sire, Zulu Dragon, is a 9-year-old son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash who won two graded stakes from 2011-12.

All told, Running Dragon has won four races in as many outs, and the $152,988 winner's share of the Mountain Top purse pushed her bankroll to $300,768. The filly is coming off of a Sunland Park spring campaign during which she won the 300-yard New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2).

Jesse Jrs Tambien, Me Like Daddy, Cowgirlsalady, Copy My Daddy, Big Spurs, Famous Big Daddy, Major Alligator, and Pj Runaway Bunny completed the order of finish.
