Cartel Candy Man Colt Tops Remington Training Races

The number of 250-yard training races at Remington Park reached 88 on Wednesday.

Live To Love Candy, a homebred colt by freshman sire Cartel Candy Man, won the fastest of 15 training races at Remington Park on Wednesday.

Prepped by Clint Crawford for PV Quarter Horses of Ratliff, Oklahoma, Live To Love Candy won the second schooling race by 1 1/2 lengths in :13.46 under jockey Ivan Carnero. The colt's sire is a homebred 7-year-old son of Corona Cartel and the multiple graded stakes winning Strawfly Special mare This Candys Special. His dam, Found A Candy Tree, is a homebred stakes-winning daughter of 2003 world champion Oak Tree Special.

Remington Park has conducted a total of 88 training races thus far. Live parimutuel racing at the track resumes on Thursday.
